About Us
Jeweler for 40 YearsHi! I’m Steve the Jeweler.
I specialize in custom design & jewelry repair using the latest in technology for preserving memories in fine metals and precious stones.
You dream it – I create it.
I opened Jeweler of the North Shore in April of 2018 to provide me an opportunity to use my artistic abilities and 30 years of experience as a lead bench jeweler at one of America’s finest jewelers. In May of 2023, we relocated to Park Rapids, MN.
I design, re-design, repair, or custom-create pieces of jewelry that people cherish for years to come.
Check back often for photos of new creations, or swing by my studio to see them for yourself!
LOCATION UPDATE:
We have relocated our store to Park Rapids, MN, at 316 Main Ave S in downtown Park Rapids.
We thank our North Shore customers for their support, it’s been our pleasure – but our family has called us closer, and we hope to see you again soon!
THANK YOU for supporting a small business!

Only the Best
Ethically Sourced Jewels & Materials
Our suppliers maintain an ongoing environmental consciousness and fair-trade awareness in their manufacturing processes and in the lives of all of their associates. They are committed to conducting all operations in the most socially responsible manner possible.
We believe it is our duty to improve the lives of our associates and ensure they are compensated fairly for their labor. By supporting ethical suppliers and every facet of fair-trade jewelry, we believe we can make a difference in our communities.
And just as we are committed to improving the global jewelry industry, we are committed to making our own local community a better place.
U.S. Patriot Act Compliance
All our suppliers have provided written verification stating their compliance with the U.S. Patriot Act.
Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC) Certification
RJC is an international body, headquartered in London, that certifies fine jewelry product manufacturers and suppliers for responsible ethical, social, and environmental practices throughout their operations. Certification and membership require an independent third party audit covering all aspects of operations, from our supply chain and production to business ethics and employee health and safety.
Members must meet RJC’s Code of Practices which respects human rights throughout the jewelry supply chain for diamond, gold, and platinum group metals. RJC members commit to implementing continuous improvement processes to increase performance and achieve higher standards.
Designed and Handmade In House
Many of the repairs and designs are done in house. In rare instances we may partner with another specialist that may have a service that we can’t provide. Steve combines “old school” techniques with new laser welder technologies in repair and custom work.
We provide an in-house design center wherein we can sit down with the customer and design or redesign a custom piece of jewelry. We do this either by free-hand sketching or using an intuitive 3D design software that provides access to a range of customizable styles. Most of our jewelry services are custom and designed in house. We also sell jewelry out of the case that has either been designed in house or brought in from other providers. On a short time schedule and can’t wait for something custom, we do have suppliers that can often provide an alternative on shorter notice.
